Kerri Kanelos was born and raised in Warwick, Rhode Island. Now a resident of Cranston, she holds a Bachelor’s degree from Franklin Pierce College in Mass Communication with minors in Women’s Studies and American Studies. She also just finished her Master’s degree in Gender and Cultural Studies at Simmons College.

Besides her freelance writing and blogging, Kerri also works as the Director of Employment and Training at a local non-profit organization. Her passions include urban development, cooking, falling asleep while watching movies, New England arts, artichoke hearts, her super rabbit Emily, strolling on the beach at night, music, and all things related to gender studies, queer theory, and media studies.
